> SE, is it going back?

SE is known the best mobile in bringing out the latest
and the best technologies
but lately, not including the k750 and w800
phones which ppl thought they will kick everybodies a**
like p990 and w900, is not that strong, and for sure
they r not cheap
on the other hand, nokia is bring alot of phones, each one is better than the other, and for sure they will be cheaper than SE's
also moto, they r bring very high technologies in their latest mobile..
so can SE stand against them, or r they gonna bring something better soon?

btw the W900 ain't a bad fone at all, quite good IMO

I know what you mean, but i was waiting something new in the W900, like TV output, picsel. Some features that other phones is using right now, like de D600 from Samgsun.

IMO I don't think Nokia is turning out better phones then SE, they are just turning out so many that out of 30-40 they are bound to hit the mark with a few. Most of the people that I talk to about phone say its the menu on Nokia phones that makes them buy Nokia's not features or quality.
For it's size Motorola should be bringing out the best of the best but, they are still stuck with 1.3MP camera's, archaic menu's and really basic features. The ROKR missed out on being a hit with the specs that it came with. Looks wise their phones are hard to beat though. SE should release more smart phone like the S60's that Nokia is selling. One smart phone in SE's range isn't enough, they should make a few that aren't stylus dependant.

As far as we know Sony Ericsson has something in the pipeline that will blow us away early next year, or nokia could, or moto etc...
Also the market is moving extremely fast and the different comanies have different stratergies and release plans/dates etc. This means that one month it can seem like one phone company is pulling ahead and then the next month it can look like a different company is pulling ahead instead as new news and models are constantly released and developed!
for me it looked like Sony Ericsson was pulling away earlier this year when the K750i and shortly after the W800i were announced as to me these seemed way in advance of the competition. But now both nokia, moto and samsung have some strong models coming soon or just realeased - but this is the ever changing world of mobiles! and remember sony ericsson will already be along way into the development of the k750i sucsessor which will probs b realeased around june next year. Then the whole cycle will start all over!!!
i think Sony Ericsson are doing a great job. The only one thing i will say is that they prehaps missed an opportunity to be a bit more creative/dareing with the w900i, but then maybe they have seen the success of the w800i and they wanted to just play it safe to build the reputation of the walkman range. who knows!

"next year they'll be big" - i think that should be the tag line for esato! Ever since I joined this site I keep hearing how SE will blow us away with their next model but it never really happens! I dunno if thats because people have such high expectations of them which they can never match or what. SE make fantastic, solid, well featured phones but they revolutionary they aint! I mean really what do you guys want from them?? The P990 for example is (feature wise) great but all we hear is how it doesnt do this or that, for god sake give them a break!

They always do impress us at CeBIT. But its at the middle of the year and the end before Crimbo when they are dissapointing.
But rumours have it next year is different. New designers, new everything, new ideas and a whole new concept to propell SE more forward than the T68i did!
