So I recently decided to go all converged and get the MDA Pro. Great phone, love it, but getting an almighty brick out of my pocket every time I want to answer the phone is becoming tedious. Now, I DON’T want a Bluetooth headset, because, well let’s be honest, they look stupid. So, does anyone know of something in between a phone and a headset, a device that would handle the call and show me who is calling? I’m thinking something like the Haier pen phones (without the buttons) or an HBH 200 with a fixed speaker and mike…? Does such a device exist? Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

I hear you, dude. I can't give any advice on the headset, unfortunately, but i absolutely agree, those BT headsets look like they were sourced from some low-budget space movies. Many people don't realize how ridiculous they look with those things stuck to their heads. This message was posted from a WAP device

It’s all about personal preference. Some people like BT headsets and some don’t. I fall into the latter category and think they look daft, but that’s just my opinion. I don’t want to start any sort of debate about the pros and cons of BT headsets, because; A) I don’t care and B) I’ve already made up my mind I don’t like them. I just want know if there is some sort of alternative to having a lump of plastic hanging out of my ear.

Could the Plantronics Discovery 640 be an answer to this problem, it is something you keep in your pocket until needing to use. It will also vibrate when it is in its small charging holster.
