Hi!

As topic; I read in other post that in firmware that asks confirmation for files transfered to the phone via bluetooth (e.g. R1L002), using MyPhoneExplorer (maybe FMA too) you could bypass this confirmation since the program is copying those files "tunneling" through the bluetooth, but simulating a COM connection... well, it makes sense but... I still get the confirmation screen!

Any clues?

EDIT: Sorry about the double post, the server was down / restarted / something when I posted the thread!

Dan, make sure in the bluetooth connections on your phone, that the connection to your computer (in "my devices") is set to always allow

Yes... it's 'Always'... and it still doesn't work.

Are you on R1L002? :?

Yes I am. Very odd. Have you tried re-pairing devices, or uninstalled then reinstalled the dongle software? Disable firewall and anti-virus programs? (although a firewall doesn't usually monitor serial connections, and it appears the problem is with the phone not the computer).

I can't think of anything else. There are no settings as such in MPE that would cause any problems.

I'm having problems with my K750 where it can't communicate with a belkin dongle, however my K700 can (yet the K750 can use my Dlink dongle no worries. And also use MPE no worries through the DLink). I'm tempted to do a master reset "just incase" it helps with the belkin connections, since I can't think of anything else to try. (My sis's K750 seems to work fine).

Yes... I tried re-pairing (a couple of times actually), reinstalling (both drivers, MPE/FMA)... so I'm clueless! What could it possible be!!!

Another thing I notice... you would say: "well, by transfering files over BT/COM port would solve the BT confirmation in firmware prior to R1N035, so I could send all my MP3 and just wait", but... it's crap, since speed is very limited cause it's a COM port simulation; doesn't even reach the full potencial of the BT (not that it's much anyway), so the only great way to fix it is using native bluetooth transfer, but for that I'd have to update to avoid the repetitive confirmations request...

Anyway, I still want to know what's happening, as I'd use it to transfer many small files...

Please! Help me out here cause it's really annoying!

What doesn't it work? It's connected via the emulated Serial Port... how does the phone "knows" that I'm over bluetooth? As MPE is using a COM port to connect to it...

Please!!

@Max_Wedge: MPE prompts me with a message telling me that "Confirm transfer on the phone!"... doesn't it appears to you? If it's there... then the program "knows" that the confirmation will be asked... I don't know how you did to bypass it using R1L002!! Any clues?

Dan it's very strange. I simply don't get that prompt and never have. I've use the serial port emulation through Sony Ericsson Phone Explorer (through the Mobile Phone Monitor software that comes with the cd), also with FMA, MPE, K700iDateimanager, and even the bluetooth dongle obex file transfer connection, all without any confirmation asked.

I've also used native XP bluetooth but this is no faster than the dongle software, and has less features (for example you can't browse obex file transfer with native bluetooth)

Did you try a master reset? I think I asked that. If not, it's worth a try. It sounds like a firmware fault, yet I know for a fact that R1L does support bulk transfers via serial port (and obex) without having to confirm each transfer.

I agree about MP3's. I usually use the cable to transfer mp3's and photos (or even use my card reader). Mostly everything else I use bluetooth. The cable is still slow since it uses serial emulation, however it is much faster than bluetooth.

Well,

I got the R1N0035 Firmware, and it does not ask while transfering multiple files. Ask only once.

This happens, when tranfering from phone - phone and pc - phone.

I think its something to do with the firmware
