> No widescreen 16:9 on K750i?

I have small mpg file which is in widescreen 16:9, and I have converted it to 3gp.
The resulting 3gp file plays fine in various 3gp players, but on my K750i handset it only plays in 4:3, so the image is stretched vertically.
Is this the norm, or is there a setting on my phone that I need to change?

You need to set it to letterboxing to preserve correct aspect ratio.
This is set in the encoder.
If your encoder (which do you use?) doesnt offer this, then try another which does, or manually add black bars top/buttom or crop sides to ensure correct resolution / aspect ratio
