Hmm anyone here know much about where to get decent Diamonds? I know it's a long shot but i'm not sure where to go. I want a pair of earings, looking at 1ct. in each stone (for white diamond) or 3ct. each for black diamonds. Got about £1,000 to spend. Either round or princess cut, obviously clarity on the black doesn't matter, but i want decent clarity/colour on the white.

Brussels and Antwerp are good choices, as is Amsterdam of course.

From my many, many trips through Amsterdams Schiphol airport I can also tell you that you can buy diamonds tax free in the duty free area of that aiport (along with almost anything else you'd care to mention such as spy stuff, cars and even large milk urns!)

from the amount you want to spend perhaps just a trip to a few select Hatton Garden jewelers might be all that is required

You'd be better going into a proper jewellers shop and getting advice there I think mate

Yeah I mean I know a bit about them, clarity/colour etc, I know roughly how much i'm gonna have to spend for what, was just woundering if anyone knows of a particular shop or area to go to... "Belgium" isn't exactly very specific lol..

My uncle just bought a 1ct. solitare diamond ring, but that was set in platinum and cost £8,000 which is wayyy to much for me, I just wanna treat myself to summin, 18th's next week

I'll be going amsterdam next year for a boy's outing but that's a bit too far away to wait, looking for something in the next few weeks. Somewhere in London really.

Any ideas? Thanks for the help so far btw guys

as I mentioned, Hatton Garden. Its probably the best area you can go in London for such things and is a short walk from Chancery Lane or Holborn on the central line
