Its happened a few times this week when transferring stuff to my K750 (flashed to W800) with the cable using drag and drop in Windows Explorer.

First I thought it was due to me putting AAC files in the MP3 folder but the same as happened again when I was transferring MP3s to Media>Audio.

I think the problem is solved by only transferring one file or folder at a time, but I cant see why this should be a problem.

I usually transfer stuff via Bluetooth, but started using the cable as its quicker. Shall I go back to doing so?

Just happened again even though I was only transferring one file at a time.

Would a FW upgrade help? Currently using R1N035

Are you talking about a fully erased card, or just some files corrupted?

Maybe you should read this:

Thanks very much.

Seems I'm having the same trouble as everyone else there.

Looks like changing the disc settings is my answer for the meantime. I did wonder about the 'Optimize for perfomance' option.

So that should be on DaVinci pretty soon after? Cos I cant use SEUS.

The 'Optimize for performance' option really slows down my computer.

Actually I´m not familiar with "DaVinci" software. But mail me at dockland@comhem.se and I will contact you as soon as I get the update to my w800i. Maybe I can manage to retreeve the new FW from SEM somehow.

My w800 has just wiped my memory card tonight. first time I have tried to put music onto it, and bam, one dead memory card. Never had any problems with my two K750's, but this phone has realy p****d me off. So much for the ultimate music phone, when all it does is destroy memory cards, now have none of the supplied items on the card, nor a working 512mb card. Spoke to Orange, and all they can say is the memory card is an accessory, so is not covered under their warrenty, and the phone is only three days old, so not impressed by them either. Now not too willing to use one of my 1gig cards in it, incase it destroys that one as well. I know that one piece of advise is to use a memory card reader, but is it the phone, memory card, or software that is at fault, and if I put stuff on the 1gig card using my K750, is the w800 going to destroy that card as well. My K750 is using the same software as my w800, and i have not had any problems so far putting stuff on to it, so is it just some phones that are affected or all w800's running R1N035 as my K750 has the same software in it.

What do you mean "destroyed"? Have you tried reformattin it either in the phone / windows explorer?

Nothing is able to see the memory card, all data has gone, and nothing will read it at all. That is what I mean by desroyed.
