> Buying a P900/910i - need help & advice

I'm thinking about upgrading from my K700i, because the quality of the video and camera is too low for my taste. Obviously I would like to stay with SonyE if I can, since I've had mostly good service with SonyE phones. I'm worried that the quality of the videos will just be the same though, and it's hard to find sample videos on the internet anywhere.
Therefore I am asking for anyone who may feel like helping a guy out to post a couple of short clips they have made with the phones listed above. Also would be handy to get a sample of the sound recorder quality, because the one on the K700i is *average*. Please upload the files here or PM me and I'll send you my email address.

Well, if you haven't check the specs, you have to know that K700i has a better camera than the P910i. I had the k700i and now I got the p910i and I can tell you that you'll notice a BIG difference between cameras.
So, if you want a better camera with a better phone ... don't go for a P910i, but for all the rest, go for it!!!

That is quite surprising to hear, especially since the P910i is so much more expensive than the K700i. Oh well, I suppose it has all those other functions on it to justify the price....

but please don't buy a P series, it would be wasted on you as you won't by the looks of it be using any of its features!

Yeah, but the P series are not sold like phone with camera. They are sold as Smartphone. You can play games, run apps, view movies in AVI format or MP4 and you can compose, view, answer mail, and many things more, but don't go for it just thinking of the camera. If so, go for other phones wich are cheaper than a P series and have really good camera.

don't be an arse, i wasn't going to buy it just for the camera! there are plenty of other reasons, like the PIM functions and the Office stuff, but the camera is important.

don't be an arse, i wasn't going to buy it just for the camera! there are plenty of other reasons, like the PIM functions and the Office stuff, but the camera is important.
Hey, be aware what you say. You didnt say anything about PIM functions at all. Only the camera. What are we gonna think if your only Q is about the camera, no the other functions.
BE A MORE SPCECIFIC.
And don't call me arse, if not I'll have to call you "soplapollas".
P.S. If you think camera is important, don't buy a P910i buy a P990 if you got the money.

I think he was calling me the arse not you as he quotes my text! But thanks for sticking with me and our opinions, he did only mention the camera and nothing else so he is completely in the wrong for everything said above.
But yes as mentioned buy a P990 if you want a P series with a decent camera, there's many sites that are ''selling them now'' just make sure you send the money then tell me so I can laugh at you and mention its not even officially released yet!
Also whilst your at it I have developed the P999 just dial 999 and ask for help and two people with white jackets will be with you shortly.

Now back on track (finally); As mentioned please don't buy a P series because if you can't even be civilised and word questions correctly then how the hell are you going to make use of the fantastic P series tange of phones, as I have already said, go buy a
S700 / K750i or Samsung D600 - they should suit your camera need's well.

Well, everyone seems to be wearing their "serious & sensitive" hat today
what's with all the personal attacks? actually, keep it up, because i'm having a good laugh here, esp. at the soplplapaas or whatever it was.
And i disagree with what you said about being in the wrong, perhaps i should make it clear... yes, the camera is a large factor, BUT i also need the PIM stuff and it would be handy to have something that can read Word docs and other office stuff while i'm out and about. I know i didn't mention the PIM stuff before, because I *already knew* it had that kind of thing. I *haven't* seen the camera quality so naturally i was curious to see it 'in action'.
Hope that clears that up, now everyone kiss and make up
ps. defensive, you do live up to your nick
also don't judge someone so quickly about whether this phone or that is right for them, I mentioned only the things i *don't know about* in order to save everyone's time answering something redundant.
