Bookmark topic
If I'm not mistaken the signal indicators in my W800 are in the upper left corner of the screen.
The one with the growing bars is used to indicate the "voice" signal,
and the other fully filled is used to indicate the "data" signal.
The thing is that my data indicator is always blank, but when I try to send an SMS or try to connect to any net ... It shows full and I do have signal.
minutes after I disconnect ... the indicator goes back to "empty"
It'll be usefull to have this indicator working everytime, so I know when do I have data signal. Any idea how to solve this ?
Thanx !

Go into "Settings" then "Connectivity" then down to "Data Comm." then to "Preferred Service" Then switch it to "GPRS and GSM"
This should work for you.

Thanks dgilmartin !
It's set like you said (if not, the data indicator shouldn't appear)
I switch it off and then on ... and the indicator filled like I'd said.
Guess in a few minutes it goes blank again.

Oh, that is strange, I'm not sure what the problem could be then, I'd just contact my service provider if I were you.

@snyghalt: if the GPRS icon is empty, it means GPRS is in reach distance. When it is filled, GPRS is "attached", whatever that means.
Or at least that's what it means on the z600.

Don't think so ... Simply because whenever I try to do anything using GPRS the indicator inmediately gets filled. And a few minutes later goes blank.
I'm trying to get some help from my carrier now.
