Hey all,

Dad wants to use the xda2s in the car with tomtom on it, are any of you selling or know where to get a good priced GPS reciever for the car to use with the xda2s?

Thanks

Have a look at Ebay. There are lots of bluetooth GPS receivers there for around £50-£60

if you can afford to spend a bit more go for a model that has SURF III technology. Better accuracy and signal i believe.

Oo see i'm n00b at this, all's I know is i need a GPS reciever lol.

What's bluetooth for?

I though the reciever was built into the phone holder, then the phone just goes into the holder and works?

At least my mates is I think.

yeah it all depends on what you choose to go for. You can get a car cradle that has the reciever built in and also charges your xda. or you can go for a seperate reciever that sits on your car dash and comunicates with your xda using bluetooth. Personally i would go for the bluetooth option as it gives you a lot more freedom ie. it will work with other peoples phones if you wanted to lend it to friends/family, you can easily use it outside your car - just stick it in your pocket and it is more future proof if you change your phone or pda in the future. This is a great site about gps packet full of reviews and good advice, i highly recomend it!
