> Credit Card Pic Leads to Fraud
Bookmark topic
I did'nt know this was at all possible but its quite amazing and funny a photo of Katrina hurricane victim Latesha Vinette holding her new Red Cross debit card, a picture instantly redistributed on news websites. The balance on the card dropped to ZERO within minutes, as hundreds of fraudsters went on shopping sprees with the card number.A few hours later, Vinette was paged over the Reliant stadium speaker system to receive a call from Mastercard, which wanted to know about cash advance requests totaling $65,237, and attempts to use the card to buy a Ferrari and hundreds of other goods on eBay.

I've always wondered how people commit massive fraud on credit cards by just the card number...even with todays chip & pin it still goes on,how do they do it?

I think i can see the security code is on the front.
Right below the CC number and on the left.
...
Or maybe it's not.

i agree with Rocky it is sign of how many sick people there are in the world today! It's sad!
plus i also don't understand how the hell people get away with it, so you get the details and go order stuff from online shops etc, but then you need to have it delivered somewhere so aernt you just gifting the police all the information they need to catch you?!

Actually it's simpler than we might think. There as a few underground sites dedicated to all kinds of criminal methods of making money, including c.card fraud. The delivery address aspect isn't a problem, believe me. Stunning how easy it is, in fact.
