do you mean a bookmark or a site from the history?
You can just drag a bookmark out and it'll go in to a puff of smoke, or in the history I think you have to delete all websites visited (don't think individual ones can be deleted)

In Safari, go to the "History" menu and choose "Clear History"

If you're surfing (dodgy) sites and want no evidence of your "activities" just enable 'Private Browsing' from the Safari menu:

No, i mean, everytime i type an address, its irritating to see a drop down box of one huge list. And i sure didn't go anywhere dodgy! All the list of a to z appears, and since i am using an iBook, i may just click one of the address in the drop down box. And no, private browsing does not work because i dont go to porn sites

you need to
-Clear your history
-empty cache
-reset safari
-clear cookies (safari -preferences - security - show cookies)
that should clear EVERYTHING...
but remember addresses stored in your bookmark folder will always pop up, unless you clear your bookmarks.
