Hi guys.
It is with deep sorrow that i wish to inform u that my poor sweet k700 has been reduced to a BLINKING SCREEN! Spilled a bottle of hospital grade alcohol on it, opened it and cleaned it up as best as i could, but initially the phone got hung up at the "SEARCHING" level. Again opened and cleaned it, let it dry for an hour orso, got started!!!! Batt was low, so switched it off. Later on, on starting, it showed only a blinking, white screen, with discloration on the screen
, and has been that way since. Took it to two different service centres at Chennai, India, both said- (SOB)" SORRY, DEAD MOTHERBOARD, NEEDS REPLACEMENT!" Any comments and help would be welcome

At least it was only a K700i. You can pick them up for less than £50 these days!

sorry but if yuor working with liquids and so on the a nokia would be better to have get a 5140i and you can spill stuff on it all day

Yeah, but its not fully waterproof, just splash and dust proof. And its a Nokia....
