> Question about fairness

Alright, without naming any names.
If you sent out something to someone who bought it. They said that it was faulty, so it's sent back. after testing the item on over 10 devices, it works fine.
So you offer a refund just to get the situation behind you.
So you refund the money, minus the delivery and packaging.
Is that fair?
Is it fair to not pay for the packaging but refund everything else?

yep, im surprised your even offering a refund. if it was fully working and it still is then its the buyers responsibility to pay for postage.

if you have absolute proff that the item is not faulty then that is more than fair. many shops and buisnesses charge large restocking fees if a returned item is found to be not faulty. Sounds like a relatively fair way to resolve the situation.
However if in your own mind you think there is a chance the item might be faulty and the person is telling the truth then maybe for the sake of a few quid (assuming that's all the postage was) you should refund it all. Hard to say more without knowing more specifics about what fault was reported & what tests you've done etc...

it was just a memory card, it was said to have not worked on many devices, but it was tested on everything I could have got my hands on and itself was brand new.
I only made this thread so if people thought that I was acting unfair I'd pay that person back the postage myself.
But I'm selling so much of my stuff because I am broke after losing my main job. (i'm now focusing on my own businesses now)
