Please help. Is there a setting to turn off the SMS notification when a voicemail comes in? Thanks

I suspect ur on voda or o2. & theese settings r in ur voicemail settings under message notification.

just go to your line service centre and ask them to deactivate it !!!

No, the thing I am trying to turn off is when you get a voicemail you get the voicemail icon, but then your phone also generates an SMS message saying you have a voicemail. I think its rather redundant. I am on ATT service in Seattle WA.

That thing happens to mé but if i did not answer calls telling mé that i have missed call and have voice message in my vmb. You can deactivate it by requesting to your subscriber. I guess you can do it also if you call your vmb and follow the machine voice.......

your phone cant generate sms, they are sent to you...call your subscriber and they can advise on how to stop the sms they're sending you.
