The guy has a lot of feedbacks and looks genuine but the final choice is yours as the payer. All the best in whatever you choose to do.

I would say that it was actually a hacked account as the seller has only sold books in the past.

his username has been registered for 2 and 1/2 years which is a long time to spoil it over this, BUT

there is a big but, the guy had 5 seperate listings, each with 3 phones in each! that totals;

15 phones @ 350GBP = 5,250GBP

not a bad scam if you see where i'm coming from,

thinking i will wait for a day or so and see if anyone else leaves the guy feedback and go from there.

p.s. see here;

completed listings

and go down a bit and you'll see what i'm talking about, thanks for the reply though!

Now then, this is totally possible and does seem to happen alot on ebay. Question is what can the buyer do?

well if all goes to pot, eBay can only offer me 105GBP of cover and if i pay the 333.33GBP that i bid then i'm screwed if you get me.

does certainly look / seem like a hacked account so i've emailed the seller to request total and ask for picture of phone with username and date next to it, see what happens in the morning i guess!

Yeh, best bet is not to rush in these situations. Contact ebay, the seller and await responses then decide on what you think is best.

DON'T PAY!!!!!

That look very very much liked a hijacked account looking at what he normally sells, and some of his other auctions are in Canadian dollars for some reason??

I'd say with a fair amount of certainty it's a scammer. Contact Ebay and tell them about it pronto so no one else falls into this trap!!!
