Red-faced Brits have confessed their most embarrassing accidents in an ‘Everyday Hall of Shame’ survey.
Ever brushed your teeth …with hair removal cream, or disappeared down a manhole while checking-out a passer-by? You maybe surprised at just how easy it is to have silly accidents.
Tesco polled the public to discover the stupidest accidents they have ever had.
Sheer clumsiness was the main cause of these accidents (40%), closely followed by lack of concentration (34%) with only one in ten (11%) admitting that their accidents happened whilst under the influence. Over half of people are so haunted by their most embarrassing accident that they still think about it.
Top five clumsy confessions hall of shame
1. The DIY electrician
"I bit through the insulating tape, plastic insulation and copper wires without turning off the TV"
2. Falling for a beautiful woman
"I am a postman and was delivering the mail when a beautiful lady on the other side of the road passed by. I fell down an open manhole into a sewer up to my waist"
3. The sleepy sergeant
"I got my moustache stuck in my sleeping bag zip while on active duty in Northern Ireland. I wasn’t so active that night."
4. The casualty of love
"My girlfriend locked me out, so I climbed the drainpipe, which came away from the wall. On landing, I broke my arm in nine places and a six inch nail buried itself in my skull."
5. The shattered ego
"I walked into the newly cleaned glass wall at work and broke my nose in front of all my colleagues."
