i want to buy Sony Ericsson W550,but I have a question about Wap 2.0.
I'm using Nokia 3100, Wap 1.2, in China Mobile network, and have NO problems whatsoever accessing my Yahoo mailbox, reading and writing e mails. A friends of mine has Sony Ericsson S700, Wap 2.0, and when she tries to open her mails in her Yahoo account, it gives a notice that there's an error on the page and it cannot be displayed.
so i'm worried, is this to do with the WAP versions, and if i buy the W550 i'll have the same problem with viewing my emails? will i have to upgrade to paid Yahoo account, Yahoo Plus, so i could open and reply my emails with my phone?
I'm on china mobile network, GPRS

Hi Sue- though not sure about the 550, I assume it would be similar as S7-> It is very much possible to log on to Y! Sites from an unbranded S7, read AND reply to mails.. As such, viewing mails over POP3 and attachments depends on whether Y! support the same in the basic (free) account or not.. If you have issues opening wap.yahoo.co.cn just go to any of the sites that takes you to a log-in prompt at wap.yahoo.com . . . Hope this helps.. This message was posted from a S700
