> Two questions regarding k700i
Bookmark topic
1) In the incall menu in k700i, there is an option 'Turn off tones'.
What is it for?
2) When i make a call there is a 'ping' and the screen says 'ciphering off' and a symbol of an exclamation mark is seen. I went through the manual for icon description. It says 'This icon is displayed when ciphering is not supported by your network provider'. But nowhere i could find what is ciphering. What is it?
Cheers!!

Silent? You mean the ringtones and all? But how can that be? There is no ringtone for second call when already in call?

The tones thing is for the dtmf signal transmitted with each key press.
Ciphering is encoding. Thought it wap usual for all digital networks to use encoded transmissions though.
