would it be necessary to re-install PC Suite if ones adds a dongle in order to connect to PC via bluetooth.(instead of cable)
Also, is there other (3rd party) software one can try instead of PC Suite?

in theory, no. pc suite should work fine. in practice however......
try motorolas a1000 suite. I have it installed, and it works fine for me over BT. you can get it from the downloads section here:

pikey....u r the king...moto a1000 has sorted out the crashes i was having with SE PCSuite....working like a charm now.only prob a1000 is we cann't back op notes....but that't a minor.(also i see that it doesn't integrate with Windows Explorer-but that may be the saving grace?Ithink that the SE PC Suite issue has something to do with my new PC - a multi-threading glitch...sure SE will bring out a patch or upgrade maybe?
