I have just bought one of those sony nw hd3 players, they look pretty cool, and my ipod was in for repair so i though why not (not having music in the gym was pissing me off), I bought it 2nd hand. Now ive been looking on the internet for a mac version of sonic stage, and luckey me, there isnt one. Firstly I thought this was some kind of joke, as why would sony make a player thats not compatable with mac, then I relised it was sony (heard alot of bad things about their software). Anyway now I have a sony mp3 player which is coming in the next few days and have no idea how to put music onto it. Does anyone know how I can put music onto this?

will it not show up as some sort of mass storage device when you connect it to the mac?
if it does youll be able to just drag and drop files onto it like it was another hard disc.
though ive not used a mac for many years so have no idea if mass storage devices etc are similiar to a pc

It probally will detect as a mass storage drive, but these days mp3 players like the hd3 have to have programs used to put music on them, and take it off, as that way it stops the piracy of music, but really its just annoying.

I found this, haven't tried it though.

From the description:

Who might find SyncTunes useful?

In short, many people with a Mac, iTunes and a PDA or phone with audio playback capability, or non-iPod music player. From user reports, SyncTunes transfers files that work with Palm PDAs, Sony PSP, Sony Ericsson K750/P910/W800i, no-brand MP3 player. It is probably compatible with other audio players too, except iPods which have a special database file.
