Does anyone know how good the video quality is on the w900? it claims to have playback at 30gp, and I have a sharp 903sh that plays excellent video at 3gp...not being good with technical stuff, does this mean the w900i video playback will be much more superior than the sharp?

Video is important to me, and if the w900 can play back full screen, un-pixelled video I would defo get one.

Also this question has probably been asked many times but when exactly will it be released?
Plus heard you can't get the white one unless you are on vodafone, is this true?

Sorry about all the questions guys, but any help appreciated.

30gp does not exist as far as I know, 3gp is a file type, though if it says 30fps (frames per second) it would mean its playback at normal video quality. the w900i is supposed to have excelent playback, but wether its pixilated will be hard to say till I or someone else gets one.

the w900i i believe has been set for release in the early part of 2006, and I also think your right about vodafone having the white covers, but it may change

Phones are very personal things, go with your instinct, think about what you need in your phone and what isn't really important...
Which looks better to you?
Is it practical?
Which features you want?
Is the price difference in the one you prefer, worth paying the difference for that phone, or is it better value going for the cheaper one and using the difference more wisely?

you can see a sample of the video taken by the W900 here;

well it does support a 30 FPS video taking and you can see it in the sample video. but the guy's hands are too shaky!

Just checked out the link above, and have to say the video quality is absolutely amazing, almost on par if not better than sharp 903.
Really can't wait to get my hands on one now.

Was thinking of ordering from expansys.com, anyone bought from them before?

The w900i has been launched already.I think u misunderstood some info about videos: 3GP is a video standard for mobile phones,like VHS is for home cinema. 30 FPS(frames per second) is the quality of recording (most phones nowadays record videos at 10-12 fps).So ... that's it about the video part.Never heard about Sharp 903.
