I've had my k750i for 6 months, since the first day it came out in o2 shops. I haven't bothered trying to update it until now... I'm doing eveything it says, have even started from scratch installing the PC suite on my second PC...
I get stuck every time on the "Unplug your phone from the USB cable and switch it off, wait 20 seconds for it to completley shut down. Hold the C button on the phone and plug in the USB cable. The update should start within 15 seconds. You can stop holding the C button when the update has started."
I do exactly as it says, but the phone just switches on, and windows recognises it, and asks the usual autorun question.
So how can I update the phone software???

You need to install the usb update driver
You can find it on the se site.

I've been having the same problems now for about a month.
problem is that when you hold 'c' and plug in, it detects a new device. At this point your supposed to manually point it at the SEUS USB driver.
only thing is that windows will not accept these drivers, saying " the location does not contain information about your hardware" or summat...
I have tried this on 3 different PC's - admittedly, they've all been Windows XP SP2.
I've read reports of some people trying F8 into safe mode, and manually stripping down all the drivers, then re-installing, all to the same effect.
The problem is that Windows XP SP2 wont take the EPIUSB driver (even if manually pointed), and repeatedly insists on using the microsoft supplied USBSTOR driver, which wont work on SEUS.
I've spent a great deal of time trying to get it to work, and it simply doesn't.
I've given up.

I've been having the same problem with a friend's k750. Mine works fine on the SEUS, but when I tried to update his phone, which is still on the original firmware, it just wouldn't start.
So maybe the problem is in the phone?

can't see it being the phone, ive tried 2 w800i's and a k750i. Only common denominator between them is that they're all Vodafone handsets - so i guess its not impossible that Voda have crippled them - but then why would SEUS be offering voda images?

I got my k750 on the first day it came out, 6 months ago, from an o2 store (who got the phone a week before anyone else in the UK)... so my phone is the earliest firmware (R1A044 - type >*<<*<* to find the software menu)... so maybe that does have something to do with it?!?
