PUK 2 is used if you have two subscriptions on one SIM card. Work and private. Not all network providers offer this service.

PUK2 is used to unlock your phone if you've entered the PIN2 code incorrectly 3 times. Its happened to me many times m8. Just ring them up & just say to them that you did the same.

I was pretty sure it's to do with a second sub... Or was it the PIN2...? I've got to call my network provider tomorrow to clear this up. I can't be that wrong, can I?

the PIN2 code is used for more advanced settings on the sim card, not all network providers use the PIN2.... for example to configure the charging unit counters, if such counters are supported by the network... and the PUK2 code is, as already said, the unlocking code if you enter the wrong PIN2 code too many times... just like the ordinary PIN and PUK codes
if you want to read more about it... use for example
http://www.google.com and search for
PIN2 sim PIN

First of all, I want 2 thank all of you for enlightening me. :-)
Now since i went and messed with my PIN2 and it has requested the PUK2 it is alright to just leave the darn thing alone right? Btw i dont subscribe to a second line. If i should cancel my subscription and change provider, it will go away right?
Thanks again guys :-]:-]:-].

yeah... you can just leave it... since the PIN and PIN2 codes only are connected to the sim card it means you get rid of it once you change sim card..

I just spoke to my network provider, PIN and PUK 2 is for ,what they called, "non existing services". At least here in Norway... (NetCom)
