> K750/W800 usb drivers conflict with Palm Hotsync (and maybe other COMx: monitoring SW, solved!
Bookmark topic
Symptoms:
- connect USB cable first time after reboot - all 5 phone driver are recognized, including USB Mass Storage
- disconnect USB cable
- connect USB cable again, Windows just recognized "root" USB "Sony Ericsson K750" device. Rest of devices did not occure in Devices, no mass storage driver was loaded, no sync posibble
Solution:
- disable COM port monitoring in Palm's hotsync manager. Probaly other applications that "locks" COM ports can cause the same problem.
Platform:
- Windows XP, SP2
- latest SE USB drivers
- Palm Hotsync Manager version 4.1.0
Hope this helps someone.
