> 1 GB memory-insufficient for SEP910!?
Bookmark topic
Hi!
Please help me regarding my problem with my SEPxxx
I just upgraded my external memory from 32mb to 1GB
so I can download movie videos on my smart movie.
I like a full movie for my phone that's why I bought a larger memory
But only to be frustrated that I can download and watch only part 1 of 2parts in a movie
because everytime I download the next part it says that
"I have a low memory" and I have problem also of storing the files
for the smart movie application(avi. format)
Pleae help me. I'll really appreciate it. Thanks! All the best!

What PXXX do you use? 1gb is only usable with the p910!
It's a hardware restriction of SE. The p900 has a maximum of 128mb.

You mention downloading the parts, do you mean transferring from the PC to the phone.
The low memory message, does it actually say "low memory", if so this may not be anything to do with the memory stick but more a case of the phones memory (ram).
What are the file sizes of the film you are trying to put on the card?

i'm trying to load a full movie clip part 1(avi.-49 mb) and part 2 (41.8 mb) from PC to my phone via bluetooth. I downloaded already the first part of the movie but when I tried to download the second part it will not transfer anymore "low memory".
I like a full movie stored in my phone. Not after watching the first one I have to delete it and download the second part from my PC so I can continue watching. It takes so much time.
I wondered how to store the first part without deleting it...

I think I understand his problem but can't see the solution.Maybe he has to install SMan to manage his apps- I guess it has to do with that...i have a 512 MB card and has no problem with it.

How are you transferring? Via the SE connection software (i.e. via "My P910" in Windows Explorer) or are you doing "Send to" Bluetooth in Windows Explorer?

This is the problem: when you transfer through bluetooth, it is sent default to your phone's internal memory. Once there (you can view file under "beamed" category in message application). P910 comes with 64mb internal memory. Therefore you can only beam 1 avi file (which is about 40 over mb).
Solution: don't use bluetooth to transfer your movies... use a card reader. Its cheap, its faster and it makes sure the files go where you want them to go: the external MS Duo Pro card.
Hope this clears things up.
