I tried downloading them from the sonyerricson site but my phone receives them as a normal text which is all scrambled, and I can't get them to load. And the settings on it already wont let me download mms's. It tries to connect but says "Program Main
Reason code KERN-EXEC
Reason number 3"

then continue and says an error occured in the communicatedion check wap account settings... But I thought I had to have MMS account settings not WAP and I'm just really confused.

ps. and I tried searching but couldn't find anything.

I'd suggest getting the manual settings from the O2 site. You can then enter them at Control Panel / Connections / WAP accounts.

Also check the 'Preferred' tab while you're there. Is there perhaps a non-O2 account set inadvertently?

I have actuallly entered the settings manual aswell. There's only o2 settings on my fone, they're all the same, none of them allows my phone to download mms. Could the symbian message bit be corrupted somehow ???

I heard that the service operator might not have enabled mms, and I have changed my contract, but kept same number, and before I could have mms with o2. I'm worried about the program close KERN EXEC thing.

I am using o2 PAYG with my P910i at the moment and its working perfect! So maybe phone o2 and tell them your problem and check everything that should be enabled at your and their end is so.

You know, that's perfectly possible. Happened to my wife when she joined O2 last year from Orange. Took an awful lot of faffing about before they eventually sorted it (trying to find a competent O2 customer service person was like looking for a needle in a haystack!) -- but at least it did get sorted.

Happened to me as well. O2 had not enabled MMS messaging on my account.

Ok I emailed them, before calling because I hate call centers. They returned me with an email saying that my tarrif and mobile was compatible for mms, then said to get the settings, then to remove the sim and replace, then swap with another o2 customer, which i'll do later. but none of it has helped. What does the KERN-EXEC program close mean??? No one's answered me on that:-(
