> Blooover - Bluesnarfing app
Bookmark topic
Hi there, I was interested in Bluesnarfing and all about this when I found the app. It's called Blooover and tonight I'm gonna try it with my other phone and see what it does.
I haven't found any manuals or instructios of how it works, but I think it's not really really difficult. The things is that you can "steal" phonebook, SMS, from other deveices and etc. I do not aprove this, but I always thought that you have to know your enemies to deffeat them, right?
Well, tomorrow I'll let you know how it went the "exploration".
Regards from sPain!!

If you use it then make sure it's only on your own phone or a friend of yours since bluesnarfing is illegal. Just a warning..

As I said, I'm gonna try it on my other mobile phone. I believe it's illegal, it should if not. I found other 'bluesnarfing' apps and they are not really difficult to find, wierd!!

we've had a few discussions about this and as I understand it, bloover is a proof-of-concept program only and for this reason is very limited in what it can.
it can't steal phonebooks or other data in the way that the bluetooth bug was demonstrated from pc loaded with specialised software by the person who discovered the bug.
in any case, for a long time now, the bluetooth bug has been fixed and phones from the last two years do not have this problem
anyone is welcome to correct me if I have been misinformed

Mmmhh.. interesting, I didn't know that. Well, in that case I will only loose a couple of minutes with it, I just wanted to see how it works and, if it really works.
Thanks for the info mate!

And it really does not work. For a short period Nokia in trying to make bluetooth even more 'customer friendly' produced a cellphone (6630i) which did the paring process automatically if so programmed. That it turned out to be a 'mistake' and Nokia Promptly removed the 'feature'
