...to put a subwoofer?

Iv got a 5.1 surround sound connected to my comp and wondering where the best place is to put the subwoofer to get the best base?

lol... On the floor next to the screen is usually best i hear, or preferably next to/behind your seating position.

cheers i cant put it behind my seat, the wires wont reach the pc iv currently got it infront ov me on the floor, the base sounds so much beta wen i lean down and get to its level but i cant seem to get it in a good position.

is it best on the floor or elevated? thanks guys

I recommend to keep it as close to you as possible, on the floor.

If it's too far away, to get any kind of noticeable effect, the sub volume has to be kind of high, creating way too much noise for everyone else around you.

Personally though, I wouldn't worry too much about the sub, bass shouldn't be overstated, you should concentrate on getting the best sound from the other speakers.

in front ov u under the sceen i think,
can i ask how u conested a sum 2 ur pc, is it just a normal sub with 2 speakers? cos i have my 2 pc speakers and my hifi conected up 2 my pc via AUX cable and im wondering how i would add just a sub 2 the whole thing?
