Im thinking about getting the xbox 360, but the only problem is i havnt preordered 1
any 1 know where they have any in stock?

I think ebay may be your only bet mate. The are like hens teeth these things, and if you haven't pre-ordered one, you may be looking at Feb-Mar before you get one. You can expect to pay £550-£600 on ebay......

they say usually despatched within 48hours but also says cant guarentee xmas delivery!

I heard that not even everyone whose pre-ordered will get an Xbox, you're looking at 2006 minimum unless you buy one off Ebay, probably at a vastly inflated price!

Knowing these kinds of things probably once the hype's over. How long did it take with consoles like the PS2? I bet 6 months at least, or a competitor's new machine comes out.
Just heard on the radio Microsoft denying they were 'hyping' up and 'creating' this shortage of Xboxes to create publicity. They said that it was because the UK launch was only days after the US lauch (there's usually a few months between launches), but surely a huge global company like Microsoft (whose software I'm currently using along with probably 90% of all users here) could ensure enough units were produced?
