okay...you know when (on windows, im on XP home) you get an error box that pops up, you get that annoying horriable sounding BEEP noise? how do i get rid of it? I didnt used to have it, now i re-installed windows (had troubles with the computer), and now the sound is backkk, and its at work, so they can hear when i mess up hahaa, or when i send an IM to someone, and i want that quiet thanks!

an easy way is to go into 'control panel' - then ' sounds' and swith offf computer sounds...... Switcth to 'no sounds'

job done - but you lose windows start up etc...... (sounds)

turn the volume off

p.s. IM clients have seperate settings so just open your messenger client and find sound options in the settings tab.
