Rite, I sold a p910i the other day here is the listing
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBay[....]pagename=STRK%3AMESO%3AIT&rd=1
Now I bought it like that no screen/keyboard or any acessories, I could not test it any more then I said in the auction rite. Do you agree?
Well last night the ebayer set up a paypal complaint, then decided to email me, which i thought was pretty rude as he could have atleast told me 1st. Anyway, hes complaing the phone is barred, which I had no idea it was due to it coming from a joblot (which was also stated in the auction).
I sold this phone as faulty/damages spare or repair says it in the auction, and now this guy is asking for a full refund, does anyone here think I should lose money on the listing/selling fees my time and packaging materials because this guy doesnt understand that he bought a faulty phone, and got one?

You are right luke. My dad's had to deal with a complaint recently where he did not receive a phone etc but anyway, as you sold it for being faulty and it's obvious you couldn't test it, then you wouldn't know.
Thing is, you've got to get on Paypal's side first, because they're complete idiots. Once they get on one person's side, they close the case etc
Just simply see if you can sort it out with him through emails (save all sent and received to him) and be civil, if it turns out he's a prick then simply get onto eBay's and PayPal's case.

You stated in the auction that it was faulty and you couldnt test it so its not your problem that the buyer didnt read that.

I adise you remove any funds from your paypal account immediately because if he does win then they take your funds. If theres nothing there, they cant.

In my experience, Paypal always sides with the person who starts the complaint. You're going to just have to reason with the buyer and get him to close the complaint. Meanwhile, as coxy said, remove all funds from your paypal account as they have a habit of just taking it without you're permission.

Ask the buyer to point out to you which part of your listing was unclear to him. As far as i can tell you made it quite plain what was for sale, and the condition it was in, so unless he can prove otherwise he has no case. Next, email all correspondence to ebay and PayPal, stating your side of the matter.

Rough man. I had something like this happen, but after I went over my auction I had failed to mention "as is, no warranty!"
So I ended up refunding the money. Make sure you keep up on the paper work though. Paypal can be a bugger when they are against you. The scammers always seem to have an upperhand somehow.
