> P910 problem - green light always on
Bookmark topic
Hi,
This morning when I turned on my P910 I noticed that the green light on the right is always on. I did several reboots, cleaned the battery contacts but the light turns on as soon as it does that small vibration when I turn on the phone, and stays on.
That wouldn't be really a problem but when I tryed to do a backup so I could try to do a master reset, the phone wasn't detected. The light in the sync station turns on when I place the P910 but the sync software doesn't recognize the phone. I already uninstalled everything (DSS sync station and PC Suite) and re-installed with no success.
I searched this forum and found a similar problem with a P800 but there was no conclusion.
Can anybody help?
Thank you.
Regards.

My friend had the same problem with his P900. It was solved by letting the battery be separated from the phone for a couple of mins, then pressing the power on button and keep it pressed for a sec or two before putting in the battery again. Then it started to behave normally again - for a month or so - then it did the same thing again. The same procedure helped again and it's been well over a year now without any problem.
Not sure if that sync/backup problem has anything to do with that though - my friend never syncs his P900...

Hi,
I did that but the light continues on. I took out the battery for 5 minutes, then for about 30 minutes, then pressed the power button before connecting the battery, but the problem continues.
However, I did get the phone to sync with the motorola sync software by puting the phone in the doking station and changing the cable connection properties from pc connect to modem and back to pc connect. I can sync with outlook but I can't still make a backup because when the phone resets by the backup application, it isn't recognized again...

hi!
try to remove the battery, memory stick and the sim card
then leave it overnight before turning it on.
also try to bump the upper part of the phone on your hand while it is off!
it works in my P800
Thanks!

oh for the connection of you phone to PC
try to uncheck all the connection on your PC
then click close, then open the connection settings again
and check the USB connection only.
after that open the PC Connection of your phone
then select modem then select ok, and then
try to open the PC Connection again of you phone
then select PC then select ok.
after that place your phone to the cradle to try!
Good luck man!
