Hey there! This is a bit of an odd question I know, but here goes:

I'm going to Japan for 4 months and I'm going to stay places with no internet access at all. While I'm traveling I want to update my weblog, but I want to avoid spending too much time on internet cafés and I would like to be able to write posts offline.

Now the easy solution would be to bring a laptop, but as I can't afford the ibook that would be really perfect for this, that's out of the question.

So I'm thinking of getting a bluetooth keyboard for my k750i and simply try to write my posts on this.

The questions is: How do I write posts on my k750i and how do I transfer them to a pc at an internet café? I'm thinking I could write emails and save them as drafts and then somehow transfer them either with bluetooth, infrared or with the usb cable. Remember that gprs won't work in japan with my european phone.

Any suggestions for this complicated operation?

you can't use your K750i in Japan, since, there is no GSM network in Japan.

looks like pen and paper - (still take pics though)

the problem still remains as:

Phone to NET

if the phone won't connect in anyway then it's just the keyboard at the Cafe

I don't suppose you could flash it to a Japan Firmware and get a SIM out there...

Flash it back afterwards

...is the actual hardware differrent (GSM)

you may consider to get a Z800i, which you can use it in Japan, since Japan also has 3G UMTS network.

grizna, photoprocessing stores will no doubt be able to transfer pics onto cd via bluetooth and ir, or memory card. (even photo stores here in australia are offering this service). You can then use the cd at internet cafes

They may do data for you as well.

is there any java applications that can edit and save .txt file to your MS Duo?

if so, just buy an USB MS Duo card reader, and plug the USB card reader to the cafe's computer, then you can access the article you typed using your phone.

There are some options that cost, such as MobiWord, that may hold potential....

Thanks for all the replies, that MobiWord looks really interesting but as I see it, it doesn't yet have the ability to save the files on the memory stick, so it isn't really that much different from the built-in email client.

Now if there was only some way of saving your email onto the memory stick this would solve the problem if I'm using the bluetooth keyboard and the ms-reader...

yes true. Not worth paying for something that will require gprs charges just to get your data off the phone....

It looks good though, so I'm hoping they will bring out a jsr75 version soon...
