Hi all ,

I'll start of with the positives
Positives:-
Wayne Rooney - strength, pace, got youth on his side
Ronaldo - most impressive balence and entertaining skills on the pitch in the world currently
Darren Fletcher - great young player, scored against Chelsea to put a stop to their unbeaten run
Second in Barclays Premier League currently

Now for the negatives
It appears to me...and proberbly many other esatians, that Manchester United have really hit a bad patch at the moment because of:-
1. Lack of scoring goals
2. Being knocked out of the champions league group stages for the first time in 11 years (not even coming 3rd, to qualify for the UEFA cup)
3. The death of United legend George Best (R.I.P)
4. The departure of United star, Roy Keane
5. Vodafone and United terminating the sponsorship contract 2 years early

But why are United having these problems Myself, i cannot really find a reason. But the lack of goals is obvious. United have real talent, world class players of Ronaldo, Roony,Rio Ferdinand, Van Nistlerooy etc etc. But they suffer some key points...

1. Ronaldo, great individual player, but not much experience at this moment in time and isn't very aware of players around him...and if he is, he'll usually go alone. He also needs to cut out the the diving-crap he 'performes' fair play to him, he is improveing and doesn't as much, but when he finally does go down as a foul, the referee has it in his head that Ronaldo goes down rather easily.

2. Rooney. Best young player in the world for me, but two things he needs. The first, temprement, as pretty much any football fan knows he has a head hot as a microwave, but again, Rooneys improving this as Ronaldo is. The second being touch play, he needs to work on his touches, as usually, using his strength advantage to get past players, he usually ends up running with the ball to far away for him.

The lack of goals is some-what bad luck in some cases, all the talent for The Reds is there, but the talent needs to be brought together to creative a powerful, driving, talented team.

What United are lacking at the moment:

Pace.

Width.

A new player who can read the game, bring a bit of new blood to the reds.

What i think will help them out of this poor season:

1.Michael Ballack (German international, in heavy talks about signing for The Reds in January, but with Real Madrid competing, they will be no push over)

2.A new manager - sure fergie is the best manager United have had, but now it is surely time to move on, but as Bobby Robson said "Alex has served this club as best manager ever to manage this club, he can stay as long as he likes for me"

Sir Alex says he wants to stay on for at least 2 more years at Old Trafford to:-
Add to his trophy cabinet
Witness and manage the likes of Darren Fletcher Wayne Rooney and Christiano Ronaldo grow up to be world class legends
Purely because he has so many memories at Old Trafford also

I personally think United will get themselves back on form and consider themselves rivals for Chelsea who have been a little stuttered by not finishing top of their Champions League group, losing to United in the premiership. But Chelsea still are favorites for me (not my favorite i mean the favorite to win, i f**king hate them).

But the biggest question is...will they get their way out of this poor form? WHAT is Sir Alex going to have to do to his squad to see them succeed ?

Fact is united are on the way down, they cant compete with chelsea in the transfer market and most of the players that have been bought are second rate, apart from rooney, ronaldo.

And Darren Fletcher is shite!

Looks like Liverpool will once again be the biggest team in the north-west soon

Liverpool will crash and burn soon, it's just the momentum of last years champions gue victory thats dragged them through. Darren Fletcher is not shite and would easily be in the top 3 players in your Liverpool squad imho and he had youth on his side at just...erm...is it 18 or 19 or 20? Not sure but still young

He is shite thats one of the reasons why keane had to go, cos he criticised him. There is no way he would get a sniff in our team, Gerrard, Alonso, Sissoko, Hamann??
Liverpool crash and burn you wish lol!

i shall offer my critic of man united though im not a fan.
1. no real left back with heinze out
2. 2 central defenders prone to failing a sleep during the game.
3. no central midfielder who can win a ball ie a veira keane etc
4. no crosses of quality for van nis who thrives on service
5. far to many players been called world class just cause they play for man u, the reality is man u have no world class players at present just players who might one day become world class.
6. a manager who hasnt spent wisely.
as for liverpool who will always come up in any conversation about man u. one swallow does nt make a summer, but there team has far more balance at the present time than man u. sure some of liverpools players are not as good man for man but they are a better team and thats the key difference
chelsea dont have all the best players in the world for each position but what they do have from back to front is a great team and a very good balance between all aveneues of play

personally i think he has made to many bad buys. saha, nistlerooy aint going to do nothing and dont have half the ability as rooney does.

being a arsenal supporter, even though its been arsenal vs man utd for yeaaarrssss. them going out made me a little sad yesterday. . hehe.

Arsneal to get bremen in the next round, then munich then juve then take on chelsea in final.

up the goooooooooooners

PS. Cygan to become the best left back in the world and make cole a bench warmer

I totally agree about liverpool having currently the best side (last 4/5 games) but you cannot call rooney van nsitlerooy rio and ronaldo not world class players?
