I bought a second hand S700i and after a few days of texting I am now receiving text but saying the message is corrupt and does not show it. Can anyone shed any light on this please.

Don't know but my S700 went absolutely bonkers last night. I received the same message 25 times and another 4 messages that arrived 12 hours late! First problem for ages . . . This message was posted from a S700

That i believe, is a network error rather than the phone acting up!

I had the same thing happen with my old S710. I kept recieving the same message over and over again. I would make calls, and then get done talking and recieve more. Finally solved it by leaving the phone off for a while.

yes, it seems more of a network problem than a cellphone problem.

Tmag- Did it get solved? Does it happen with every text? The 'corrupt' or 'broken' msg error usually would have to do with Bookmarks, Pic msgs (NOT MMS but the type old Nokias' have) or such. That go beyond 160 char and the Network messed up the packet. And as already mentioned, the multiple msg. del.vry too is an Network issue. Maybe switching off temp'ra'ly could help. Once a friend complained to me, but I was using T310 then AND I know I had sent the Text Once.. This message was posted from a S700

Thank you all for your replies. So far the problem has not happened again, so I am presuming it was a network error. Having said that i have another phone on O2 and did not having any problems.

Thanks again
