can anyone help im trying to find somewhere that sells cheap irda device in uk.

If you look online there is plenty of tutorials hot to build one. If you do want to buy one go to www.actisys.com, they have a wide range of irda devices. Personally I would build it, its what I'm gonna do, all of £5, parts from www.farnell.com

Installing IrDA sucks ! Make sure you configured your bios. Change the com port to IR port.
