> French pre-paid with GPRS?
Bookmark topic
Hi there!
My parents are going to france in two weeks and want to get a pre-paid phone card to call cheaper to sweden.. They would also like to have gprs-access to read news and use avantgo on their palm..
Can anyone recommend such a pre-paid service?

AFAIK GPRS is only limited to post-paid connections and not pre-paid connections. Can anyone confirm this??

Yes, I can confirm this as I have been trying to get GPRS over Pre-paid in France for the past three days. Only for people with contracts.

Yes, its stupid. Not only do you need a contract, they also want a French Bank Account to get a contract. So I'm using a friends address to get a French Bank account, dump some cash into it and then getting a contract.
Nothing they can do to me if I decide to leave and cancel a 1 year contract too early.

Is this still true, or can we now get pre-paid in France with GPRS?
