> Asian w800i to europe firmware

Am very disappointed that the Asian w800i firmware does not allow me to search for a contact using more than one character.
Am wondering if any body successfully managed to changed the firmware to europe one use SE software update function on their own?
I dont mind giving up the chinese character set for the ability to search for contacts. Thanks.
