There is so much dirt under my joystick that i think its affecting UP movement of the joystick. I took apart my k700 but could only clean the sides of the joystick. I could see a layer of dirt under the joystick but couldnt reach it. How can i remove that dirt? When i move my joystick up out of ten times only five times it works.

Try using one of the small attachments on your vacuum cleaner. Be careful not to suck up any important parts though

Did not work. Its like a sheet of dirt which is stuck under my joystick. I think i can remove it with a pair of forceps but i am afraid it might harm it.

Oh No for god sake - dont do that, you will immediately ruin the lcd display. Spraying any kind of moisture or fluids into the phone immediately creeps in between the 3 panels making up the lcd screen and instantly kills it beyond repair. Beleive me, I have one dismantled K700 from a customer lying on my table right now for repair, a customer that exactly tried to clean his joystick by spraying it with contactspray.
Theres only one way to properly clean the joystick, and thats manually. I advice to get it done at a service centre, its not difficult but does require some technical skill, some care and the right tools. First you remove the housing and the keypad, then remove the protective aluminum covering by unscrewing the 4 screws (torx6)holding it and the pcb in place. When the aluminum convering is removed, the pcb and components are free. Gently lift away the keypad pcb, and gently lift up the lcd screen, they are attached to the pcb with small electronic ribbons, be very carefull not to detach (they are a pain to attach again) or ruin those. Then the joystick are complete free and you can see how its soildered to the pcb. Gently lift up the joystick button slightly and you can see underneath the button how its covered in dust/dirt affecting movement. It gathers up like a litle ring around the joystick. Carefully remove this dirt with some small tool available and your joystick will be good as new.
Again, I advice to get it done at a servicecentre by someone who knows what they are doing, and take no responsibility for any damage you might do to your phone by trying to do it yourself, but if one is handy and carefull its not that difficult.

Mate, phones are phones and imho they do get old. If you can try and wipe it or vacuum it but sometimes its just wear and tear

@S4k1s - Its a pillow? Do you have it too? Then why is it affecting my UP movement?
@vanquish - Old? I bought it a month and a half back.

It is also an area where dust and pocket dirt gathers and affect the joystick response, I have made many customers happy about their K700's again by simply cleaning this.
