Hi all,
Am thinking of moving from my C500, and it looks like the W800 might be what I'm looking for:
A camera that's actually usable and gets decent results.
A decent MP3 player.
Bluetooth.
MP3 Ringtones.
Decent headphones for listening on my motorbike & at the gym.
Synchronisation of calendar & contacts with Outlook.
Only question I've not been able to find an answer to is 'Can I stick my non DRM'ed MP3's straight onto it, or does it insist on DRM etc?'
I guess the only other thing is to ask (probably the wrong audience here though!) if this is the right choice of phone for me or should I wait until there's a version of the C600 readily available?

I have a W800i and it is great. It does not need any DRM so it will play any MP3 or AAC file. I havent tried files downloaded from Itunes but have used files that were ripped from cd using Itunes and they worked fine.
I havent used a C500 so cant really comment on the SPV's.

that was a quick decision! also a very good one, the W800i seems to have everything you require in your new handset.
just to clarify the existing point; YES you can put DRM files direct onto your phone whether they be .aac .m4a .mp3 etc. they play fine on my friends that he uses.

Just be careful about the motorbike part. When I use the handsfree while driving I don't insert the in-ear earphones completely as they actually do cut out a lot of outside noise, like cars, etc.

That's ok, they're meant to. Many bikers wear earplugs anyway as long term biking can damage your hearing because of the engine and wind noise. I currently wear Shure E2C's to cut out background noise anyway & listen to music on my mp3 player but can still hear vehicles & sirens etc.
