Anyone in Birmingham (UK) on O2 notice on the T68i GPRS has been enabled and the blue signal strength bar is on above the GSM signal bars. Info on the status screen lists GPRS as unregistered
Normally the bar appears when I swich on the phone then disappears after a couple of seconds, and the status screen say not GPRS available.
I have set my message preference to GPRS and just sent couple of texts via GPRS.
Anybody any ideas how I can take advantage of this whilst its available??

if you are not registered for gprs then i doubt you have sent sms by it set to gprs or not. the phone is designed to auto send via the signal channel if gprs is down. what exactly are you saying is occurring so we can answer fully/

You could be right, but previously the status screen accessed by the rocker switch on the left of the phone always reported GPRS as not allowed.
Today it reports says unregistered, and as stated before the blue bar for the GPRS status is visible on the phone.
Perhaps some testing is being carried out on my local cell site!!

Some phones like the Nokia 7210 will attempt to send SMS via GPRS if set. Failing this it will automatically try to send via CSD anyway.

when the blue L bar above gsm shows it means u r in GPRS coverage - it will probaly say not registered cos u have'nt got it - whe u have it it will be full like ur main signal bar - most networks will still use GSM to send texts - not GPRS - hope this helps.
