> Can my W800i be waterproof?

I went to a m8's place last night and was having a great time... Lots of cold ones and some more cold ones, then we all decided to go for a swim.
As our condition is expected we did not think about emptying our pockets. So my W800i came with.
While swimming my girlfriend calls and i here the catchy jingle mufffled while in the freakin water!
but the strange thing is that it is still working, i may not be functioning that well today but the W800i is... Is this normal?

its fine dont worry just leave it to dry. my k750 was in the water for half an hour before i realised then i left it alone for about 3 days to dry and its still working

wait wait wait, it got wet, very very very wet for about 1 hour and 30 mins, then i answered it wet, and put the flippnig thing back into my pocket, of which was under the water...
only this morning was i told i was answering my phone and sending arb message from the pool...
it is working and has not got any probs.... *me confuesd*
well will it rust or should i blow dry it or warm it in the microwave for a bit.
I used the microwave my Nokia 6510 all the time to sharge the battery... Dont ask, it worked... *again me still confuesd*

I recommend taking the battery out and leaving it to dry out for at least 24 hours as even the tiniest bit of water can corrode the PCB. So leave it in an airing cupboard overnight, just to make sure its fully dry, and you should be fine. Its always the battery that does the damage when a phone gets wet

a friend's P900 got into a similar situation. she left it to dry & it worked well for a couple of months, after which most of the functions began getting loopy. when she took it to a service center, the technician immediately was able to tell that the unit got wet some time ago. though it did dry, some of the parts inside still retained dampness. the P900 had major problems by that time. the technician said you should always bring a phone in for cleaning service within a couple of days after getting it wet. it may seem dry, but some of the inside parts actually are not. never use a hairdryer, let alone an oven - these make some of the malleable parts softer than normal.
