Hi, I have downloaded a 3gp converter program to try and convert files to mp4 format, but I am quite new to this.

I can get a file onto the phone, but it only plays audio, can anyone help me, or suggest anything else?

Thanks in advance!

Hi
I would suggest it is because you didnt encode the video properly

Here are settings for converting to mp4:

Tried and Tested!

So I suggest you use:

Mpegable X4 Live

This is just a video converter for....er....converting videos!

Enjoy

No Problem!

Open mpegable X4 live and then a box titled ''settings'' should appear. Click ''Browse'' which will enable you to find the file you are wishing to convert. Locate the file and then the guide should tell you everything you need to do after that.

Hope this helped

You have been a great help!
I got it to work, I was being a n00b, I found it in the folder from the start menu.

Had a bit of difficulty converting but worked it out in the end, can you convert all files, like for instance, a movie?

May take a long time to encode though lol

More than likely.

I have a dvd ripper on my pc, it came installed on it, for instance would I be able to convert FROMthat?

And my sister downloads stuff all the time in avi, like tv shows so in theory I could convert those too?
