is it just me but i find the posts in the market section that just link to ebay auctions
really annoying! i don't think they should be allowed unless the seller also states a buy-it-now price for item for people from esato or has a buy-it-now option on ebay. As if their is no buy-it-now then the phone is basically not being offered for sale on esato at all and can not be purchased straight away and as such should not be in the for sale section! It drives me mad when a phone i am looking out for appears in the market section only to find it is a link to an ebay auction that (1) doesn't end for a week, (2) you have no idea of the price you will have to pay. if i wanted to buy from ebay i would go to ebay and look there! if i am looking here a esato it is because i want to buy from a user from here with whom you can contact easily and quickly negotiate a deal upfront with no guess work on the prices and no waiting around!
anyone else agree? or i am i just turning into a grumpy old git?! the market section is turning into an advertisement forum for ebay these days!
Tom

Actually Welshtom i completely agree,im glad someone has finally spoken out about this...Esato Market is their for the sole purpose of selling phones and Accessories directly from there not to provide external links to ebay...When i want something from ebay i go there simple as.

If you purchase anything on ebay then it can be costly and the price on ebay is not negotiable but on esato it is possible

I'm tempted to agree too, I've often seen phones I thought 'I wouldn't mind one of them', then see it's a link to an ebay auction. I have a link to my auctions in my sig, but don't generally start a new thread in the FS section just to advertise that!
I also wish that the FS section was for phones for sale here on Esato and not just links

I must admit that I am one of the guilty ones. I will probably not do it anymore anyway as nobody from Esato ever bids on my Ebay auctions.
On a similar subject, do we really need the hundreds of sim card sales on the Esato accesories section? They get in the way when looking for accesories. I have given up looking in the accesories for sale threads because it is a pain wading through the sim cards for sale. Would it not be better to have a seperate area for sims?

I think some people have more trust in ebay than with esato members, that’s why they prefer ebay but want to advertise it a little (I’m guilty too).
Although I have gain confidence and will hopefully be purchasing my second phone through esato alone (if royal mail don’t f it up again).
I can see how it’s annoying and promise to never do it again. Also totally agree about the sim card issue.

If the member says "check out this" then thats wrong, if they say "check out this OR make a bid here on Esato" thats better.
