Can anyone explain exactly how to use it? I mean I guess I can use it but i dont see its faster... Like give an example.. The sentice is... press 3 2x 4 1x ect.. so i can exactly see how to use/shorter it is..

Also.. how many people use it? Do you have word suggestion as a list or not?

T9 automatically matches words from a dictionary from the possible combinations of 3-letters per key you press.

So to write HOME you press 4 6 6 3 which is
[GHI] [MNO] [MNO] [DEF].

If your dictionary contains the word GONE this word will also match so you will get a list of the words which match and you can choose the one you like. I see also the word HOOD matches.

T9 is practical when writing long words. Only after a few key presses the phone has only a couple of matches left and you can choose one of these without finishing all letters/keys in the words.

T9 is a much faster method of entering text than the mostly used "multitap" method.
This is a proven fact..
Just an example..
try typing the word "environment" on your phone.
The advantage of T9 is that it requires the same number of key-presses as the number of letters in the typed word..so using t9, you can type "environment" in just 11 keypresses while on multitap it will take you 21!

Now the disadvantage of t9 is that you need to be good at spellings!

Also, not all words are found in the dictionary...but some phones do have an "insert word" option.

aaahh now i understand! I love it! heeh so does everyone have the option "show word list" on or off? Any other tricks ect?
