> Incorrect phone number in phone status (W800i)
Bookmark topic
Hi
When I bought my phone i ported my number, hence had a temporary number for a week or so. When I look at the phone status page it still lists this number despite working correctly as the new number. This wouldn't bother me, except it means the voicemail button tries to call the wrong number (I assume these problems are one and the same), so the only way to access voicemail is dialling my own number. Voicemail notification works as it should, it's just the 1 key that doesn't.
If anyone has experienced this then I would be grateful to hear a solution. Incidentally, I am running the original firmware, and can't update due to lack of internet access where I can install the update service (my uni computers are locked up too tight). I also don't really want to use the master reset if avoidable.
Thanks in advance.

welcome to Esato
try this, go to phonebook, options, special numbers, my numbers, my mobile and see if you can edit it there. I believe thats where the status page pics it up from
for the voice mail number, try going to messaging, settings, voice mail number and see if you can edit that there

Thanks for that, I am now able to change the number that is listed in phone status, however I have no 'Voicemail Number' option in the messaging settings. This is where I would have expected it to reside, however on a T-Mobile branded phone I am without this option! Typical.

better have a chat with t-mobile, maybe they can send a sim update to the phone with the corrected voicemail number.
I've heard on Orange also you cannot change it yourself
