> urgent request - W900i GDFS file

If anyone has access to a w900i and total multi server, could you save the GDFS from your phone in it and send me the file? I really need a copy of the w900i gdfs to fix my phone.
It's gone all whitescreen like the w800s were known to, and the gdfs is apparently where the problem is at.

It turns out the gdfs gets flashed when you update the firmware through Total Multi Server. What that means is to fix the w900i white screen lockup you just need to flash it.
I actually updated to that new R5AF001 firmware, couldn't download the C00 one that was already on the phone. no major differences i can see in this firmware, i'll report anything i notice after using the phone a bit again in the main thread for it.

Hi, i ended up using Total Multi Server instead. They brought out w900i support sooner. Both davinci and TMS support the w900i now, i'm unaware if davinci will remove the shutter noise. Originally the phone was _CHINA_ firmware, but i flashed the EMEA version when i repaired the phone. I used the EU3 language file. In TMS there's a check box to remove the shutter sound. I selected that, because tho i don't mind the shutter noises, i figured i won't be able to disable it without flashing again, and i won't miss it anyway. It did remove the shutter noise. Unless you set the phone to silent mode, you still get a beep from the autofocus though.
Hope that's enough info.

How did you end up fixing it? I'm using the official SEUS and it won't get my phone going. I've downloaded TMS, as you suggested, but I can't get it working without buying credits and it won't accept the firmware files from the SEUS program folder. Anything I can do without having to pay 20 bucks just to get my phone to work again? I guess I wouldn't have as big of a problem paying if I had messed up my phone by trying to do something spectacular, but I wasn't even doing anything crazy to it...
