I have the Sony Ericsson K500i phone that is on the Orange network. Can someone please tell me what is the best way to debrand this phone so I can have the original Sony Ericsson menu back on this phone instead of the Orange menu? Also how can I tell if my phone is locked or unlocked? Thank you in advance.

pop another sim in it. you can check in the service menu aswell (search forum for code). if you brought it straight from orange then it will be locked. the easiest way to unbrand it imo is to send it to someone and they will do it for you. someone on here called gregface does it just for the cost of p &p which cost me £2. otherwise you would have to buy the equipment or send it to a shop
