I can fast forward and rewind in fullscreen on my w900. you have to use the walkman player, when the vid is fullscreen hold the up/down arrow on the joypad. i prefer to fastforward smallscreen tho, holding left/right, as you see the time counter.

Since you got the same phone from the place as me, yours should fast forward fullscreen in the walkman player. The file manager video player has no fast forward though. The two are different players. You have to play the video through the walkman function.
I've never had the red/blue camera viewfinder thing. My phone did die for 2 days though, just a white screen. Nearly had to send it back to buymobilephones, but luckily i could just reflash it with a newer firmware to repair it. By the way, their returns system is rubbish, they wanted me to send and insure the phone back at my own expense. £8 for a total multi server flashing credit worked out much cheaper!

changed the video bitrate for the videos i was converting and now can fast forward and rewind
i found 350kb/s video and 32 kb/s audio at 320 x 240 gives very smooth quality playback
before was up over 450 kb/s and 64 audio and fast forward didnt work for some reason ?
