Which features would you guys like to see introduced into GSM phones in 2006?

I would love to see more phones with analogue tv tuners.

Yeah I agree with the t.v tuners.

I would like smaller, slimmer phones with larger, better quality screens.

Contradictory I know

Maybe not larger screens but definitely better resolution.
Also I'd like to be able to control my appliances at home via my phone i.e be able to order the PVR to record a programme while I'm stuck in traffic or in a meeting.

Analogue switch-off for the UK is somewhere around 2010. What's the average lifespan of a phone? Most peple here on esato buy a new phone, on average, every 18 months.

Nokia drops NGage line

Phone giant Nokia has officially announced that they're dumping the NGage line of gaming-oriented phones. The company says that they'll move their gaming efforts over to their Series 60 line of cell phones, and focus on music and video until at least 2007.

This is hardly surprising, as the NGage was both badly developed and not very good to begin with. If you're not Sony or Nintendo, you can't do a gaming device in the current mobile market, and certainly not one that's as flawed as the NGage models have been.

Bye bye
